Two different things are called protection, and they cover opposite ends of the journey. Shipping protection covers the parcel getting to you. The stain plan covers the rug once it is in your home.

What is the 5-year stain protection plan, and how much is it?

It covers food, drink and pet stains on one rug for five years. It costs $19.99, or $29.99 for the version that includes our cowhide cleaner. It is free with a gift code: WORRYFREE adds the plan for an items subtotal of $199 or more, and PROTECTCOMBO adds the plan plus a 16oz cowhide cleaner for $249 or more. Only one code applies per order.

It does not cover physical damage: rips, tears, burns and general wear are outside it. Each plan covers one rug, so two rugs need two plans.

Can I add the plan after I have already ordered?

Only while the order is still on its way. The plan has to be on the order before that order arrives, so once the rug is in the room it is too late and a plan bought after delivery is not valid.

What is shipping protection, and what if I did not buy it?

With shipping protection, a parcel lost or damaged in transit is replaced or refunded without you having to chase anyone. We deal with the carrier.

Without it, you are not on your own, but it is slower: we file a claim with the carrier, which gets 5 business days after the claim is filed to resolve it. If your order arrives in good order, having skipped it costs you nothing.
